BERN LLC, located in Woodstock, VT, seeks full-time, temporary line cooks with the description and requirements as below.
Line Cooks are responsible for the preparation, seasoning, and cooking of a variety of menu items, including but not limited to pizzas, sandwiches, burgers, soups, meats, vegetables, and desserts. Duties include setting up workstations, preparing ingredients, and ensuring cleanliness before, during, and after service, including washing dishes and utensils used in food preparation.
Line Cooks will create daily specials, assist with ordering inventory, manage order placement and receipt, and perform trash removal duties. They will also serve as an expediter between the kitchen and the front of the house, communicating information regarding dish ingredients, availability, and preparation times for service staff.
Line Cooks must maintain a professional, steady presence during high-volume periods. They must report to the owner, chef, and manager as needed and follow all kitchen protocols.
Requirements:
Applicant must:
- Complete pre-employment background check.
- Be able to provide at least one reference for prior work experience.
- At least 3 months of restaurant cooking experience.
- Be able to communicate in English.
