Duties may include: Operate various equipment (tractors, skid steers, loaders) and vehicles (pickups and 4 wheelers) for feeding, watering, manure spreading, cleaning out barn and pens. Feeding, supplementing and watering livestock as they are in barn and pen area for the winter months. Observing and maintaining condition of livestock, pens, feeder and waterers. Maintenance/repair equipment, vehicles and fences. Minimal medical treatment of livestock & other related Livestock Hand activities as per SOC/OES 45-2093 (onetonline.org).
Possible weekend/holiday work and overtime hours available depending on livestock needs.
The employer may choose to pay experienced workers, regardless of origin, more than the published minimum wage rate. See attached Addendum C.
