Worker will be required to perform a variety of duties found in SOC Code 53-7064 Packers and Packagers, Hand such as: Examine and inspect containers, materials, or products to ensure that product quality and packing specifications are met; Sort according to factors such as color, species, length, width, appearance, feel, smell, and quality to ensure correct processing and usage; Function and monitor grain conditioning tools to ensure efficient and safe conditioning of grain to meet quality standards including running dryers to pull down moisture content; Load out products using hand trucks, forklifts, suction gates, shovels, pitchforks, brooms; Weigh crop-filled containers, and record weights and other identifying information; Place products in containers according to grade; Weigh products or estimate their weight, visually or by feel; Discard inferior, diseased, rotten, or defective products or foreign matter, and place acceptable products in containers for further processing; Monitor and report grain grades; Maintain an organized work environment, including storage areas and surrounding facilities; Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and the team; Deliver grain to market facilities as ports allow; Tear down and re-build wheel motors, pumps and other equipment; Must be able to speak and understand English.
