Worker will be required to perform a variety of duties found in SOC Code 53-7064 Packers and Packagers, Hand such as: All tasks occur in cold, dusty environments and may require work in confined spaces; Safety protocols must be followed at all times; Employer provides PPE; English proficiency required for safety and operational communication; No livestock or construction duties are involved; This is a full time, temporary, seasonal agricultural labor directly ties to grain preservation and post harvest storage, required only during the winter months when crop field work is not possible; Examine and inspect containers, materials, or products to ensure that product quality and packing specifications are met; Sort according to factors such as color, species, length, width, appearance, feel, smell, and quality to ensure correct processing and usage; Function and monitor grain conditioning tools to ensure efficient and safe conditioning of grain to meet quality standards including running dryers and aerators to manage moisture content and temperature; Inspect grain for spoilage or pests, and conduct fumigation or pest control under supervision; Weigh crop-filled containers, and record weights and other identifying information; Place products in containers according to grade; Drive skid steer; Transfer grain; Discard inferior, diseased, rotten, or defective products or foreign matter, and place acceptable products in containers for further processing; Monitor and report grades; Maintain an organized work environment, including storage areas and surrounding facilities. Must speak and understand English.
