Shift & Schedule
- Day Shift: 3 days per week, 12-hour shifts
- Shift hours: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of CT technology experience
- Proficiency with Epic charting system (required)
- Certification in ARRT CT and ARRT R, plus current Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Level I trauma experience preferred
- Travel experience not required; first-time travelers must have at least 2 years’ experience
- Advanced image display and post processing skills including:
- 3D rendering methods (Maximum intensity projection, Surface shaded displays, Volume rendering)
- Multiplanar reconstruction (MPR)
- Region of interest measurement (ROI)
- Expertise in abdomen and pelvis imaging including colorectal studies (with rectal contrast), enterography studies, intravenous pyelogram, and pelvis imaging with or without contrast
- Experience in pediatric acute and outpatient care settings
- Ability to perform special procedures such as aspirations, biopsies, colonography/virtual colonography, CT arthrography, drainage, myelography, PET CT, radiation therapy planning, transplant studies, and vascular CTA
- Competency in heart imaging (e.g., calcium scoring, coronary angiography) and vascular chest imaging (pulmonary embolism, CTA, aorta)
- Familiarity working with imaging equipment, including GE and Philips systems, along with PACS software (Philips proficiency required)
- Strong knowledge of professional protocols including isolation precautions/PPE, radiation safety, preparation and administration of contrast media, starting peripheral IVs, and venipuncture
Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality CT imaging procedures in line with department protocols and patient safety standards
- Execute complex imaging studies including 3D rendering, MPR, and ROI measurements to assist in diagnostic accuracy
- Manage special procedure imaging such as biopsies, aspirations, colonography, myelography, and PET CT scans
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, radiologists, and healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient care and diagnostic results
- Ensure strict adherence to radiation safety regulations and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Administer contrast media safely while monitoring patients for reactions and maintaining clear, accurate documentation in Epic
- Provide excellent patient care across various settings including Adult and Pediatric Acute Care, Emergency Department, ICU, and Level I & II trauma centers
- Operate and troubleshoot imaging equipment, maintaining proficiency with GE and Philips systems and PACS technology
- Maintain professional certification requirements and participate in ongoing training and education initiatives
Qualifications
- Certified Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in both CT and Radiography
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- At least 1 year of full-time experience as a CT Technologist
- Experience with Epic healthcare software for charting and imaging documentation
- Demonstrated skills in advanced CT imaging techniques and post-processing
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in diverse clinical settings
Compensation & Benefits
Hourly Pay Rate: $66.00 - $78.00 per hour
