Position Details

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to postpartum patients throughout the assigned shift.
• Assess patient conditions, identify changes, and communicate updates appropriately.
• Administer medications and treatments according to orders and established procedures.
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and support continuity of care.
• Collaborate with the care team to promote patient safety, comfort, and recovery.

Requirements

• Epic charting experience is required and is a hard-stop requirement.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Current NRP certification required.
• Postpartum care skills, including care for patients following cesarean section, postpartum hemorrhage, and vaginal delivery.
• Postpartum care and procedures, including episiotomy and incision care and fundus, lochia, and perineum care.
• Medication administration experience with magnesium sulfate therapy and Pitocin (oxytocin).
