Ski Instructors will be responsible for explaining and demonstrating technical ski concepts using a variety of teaching methods, based off age, learning style, and ability of the students, setting lesson plans based on guest needs, upholding guest safety on varied terrain in high altitude climate with varying winter weather conditions and ensuring that students are matched to appropriate skier/snowboarding skill level, assisting guests with transportation of equipment and assisting guests to load and unload the chairlift. Seasonal preparation work includes cleaning and organization of all staff areas, uniforms, and supplies, answering phones and assisting with all office responsibilities, working with Mountain Sports Training Manager to develop meaningful clinics that reflect areas of expertise, and, periodically, assisting in racecourse set-up and tear-down, assisting in cleaning of locker room area and set up/take down and maintaining functionality and cleanliness of areas. Cleaning and organization duties include straightening and organizing ski school staff rooms and instructor staging areas and locker rooms by picking up loose paper, wrappers, or small debris and placing it in designated receptacles, placing ski-school teaching supplies and equipment in their designated locations, including lesson materials and other instructional or operational supplies.
