Workers will perform seasonal snow removal on private properties, including residential and commercial sites. Duties include shoveling snow from walkways, steps, sidewalks, entrances, loading areas, and driveways; applying de‑icer and spreading salt by hand; and operating low‑power, non‑DOT snow removal tools and equipment such as hand‑held shovels and small, walk‑behind residential/commercial‑scale snow blowers (non‑vehicle). Workers will prepare for and clean up after winter weather events by clearing accumulated snow and ice and restoring safe walking and parking access areas. Work is performed only on privately owned or privately contracted properties and does not include maintenance of public roads, highways, or municipal infrastructure.
Wage: Basic wage rate is $19.57/hr. An overtime premium at the rate of, $29.36/hr., will be paid when required by Federal, State, or local law, including at time-and-a-half after 40 hours in a work week. The employer may offer raises/bonuses to temporary employees hired under this job order, at the company's sole discretion, based on individual factors such as performance, skill, and job tenure. Wages will be calculated based on a single workweek. Employees will be paid weekly.
Schedule: Shifts vary, but an average scheduled workday can be from 8AM to 4PM, Mon-Fri. The expected work schedule is approximately 35 hours per week. The employer may offer more hours than specified, depending on company needs, and other conditions. Work is performed during a 24 hour period in various shifts. (Shifts are: 9pm – 5am, 3am – 11am, and 8am – 4pm). Work on Saturdays and Sundays may be required depending on weather conditions and needs of the business. Some overtime may be available.
