Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care for PCU patients in collaboration with the care team.
Assess, monitor, and document patient status, including vitals, labs, and response to therapies.
Administer medications and IV therapies; manage lines and device care as ordered.
Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and multidisciplinary staff to implement care plans and adjust as needed.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record; ensure patient safety and comfort.
Support discharge planning, patient education, and family communication.
Requirements
Active RN license in Texas
Current BLS (CPR) certification
PCU or similar unit experience preferred (1 year preferred)
Ability to work in a hospital setting and participate in a travel assignment
Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
