Cut away dead or excess branches from trees or shrubs to maintain right-of-way for roads, sidewalks, or utilities, or to improve appearance, health, and value of tree. Trim, top, and or reshape trees to achieve attractive shapes or to remove low-hanging branches. Prune, trim, or treat trees or shrubs using handsaws, hand pruners, clippers, and power pruners. May assist in routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment used each day. Although some tree trimming work may be performed on the ground, workers may need to use ladders up to 20 feet high to reach higher areas of trees. May drive trucks or other company vehicles at work sites. Entry level; requires supervision.
