Perform general labor and assist skilled workers. Load, unload, and carry materials, hand tools (e.g. hammers, plyers, wrenches, electrical meters), and supplies to and from trucks and trailers; Move materials around job sites as directed by the lead technician; Retrieve hand tools, parts, and supplies from the service truck or trailer when requested; Organize and stage materials at the work area prior to and during job activities; Return tools and unused materials to the truck or trailer at job completion; Prepare work areas by clearing debris, brush, and obstructions; Dig trenches and backfill excavations by hand using shovels, rakes, and hand tools; Keep the job site clean, orderly, and free of hazards throughout the workday; Clean and wash trucks, trailers, and equipment at the end of each workday; Sweep, organize, and maintain the shop, yard, and storage areas; Watch and guide equipment movement on job sites as directed; Control vehicle and foot traffic around active work zones; Place and remove cones, barricades, or flagging as directed by the lead technician; Observe and follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements at all times; Assist with loading and securing trailers for transport; Assist in staging of work site equipment; Maintain a clean and organized service vehicle at all times; Assist the lead technician by holding, steadying, or positioning materials as directed; Hand tools and supplies to the skilled worker upon request; Perform any other manual labor tasks as assigned by the lead technician or foreman.
