Perform seasonal winter property maintenance services at the employer's shop and at residential and commercial customer properties. Remove snow and ice by hand from sidewalks, walkways, entryways, driveways, stairs, ramps, and other pedestrian access areas using shovels, snow pushers, ice chippers, and similar hand tools. Workers do not operate snowplows or other snow-removal vehicles. (45% of time will be focused on these tasks) Apply salt, sand, and other de-icing materials to maintain safe pedestrian access. (15% of time will be focused on these tasks).
Perform winter property cleanup by removing storm debris, fallen branches, leaves, and other seasonal debris from customer properties. (12% of time will be focused on these tasks) Process, split, stack, load, transport, and deliver firewood using employer-provided equipment as an incidental part of seasonal property maintenance services. (10% of time will be focused on these tasks).
Load, unload, transport, and store hand tools, snow removal equipment, de-icing materials, firewood, and other supplies used in winter property maintenance. (5% of time will be focused on these tasks). Clean and organize the employer's shop, storage areas, tools, and equipment. (5% of time will be focused on these tasks). Wash and clean company vehicles, trailers, hand tools, and snow removal equipment. (4% of time will be focused on these tasks).
Perform routine operator maintenance of company vehicles and snow removal equipment, including fueling, checking and replenishing fluids, lubricating moving parts, inspecting tire pressure, replacing worn cutting edges on snow removal equipment, and reporting mechanical problems. Duties are limited to routine preventative operator maintenance and do not include diagnosing mechanical failures or performing mechanical repairs. (5% of time will be focused on these tasks).
