Position SummaryThe Off-Season Housekeeper performs intensive cleaning of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces during the property's lower-occupancy months. The role focuses on the deep-cleaning tasks that cannot be completed during peak occupancy, when daily turnover demands take priority. All duties fall within the standard scope of hotel housekeeping work.Key ResponsibilitiesDeep cleaning of guest rooms
Shampoo and extract carpets and rugs using housekeeping carpet-cleaning equipment
Clean upholstered furniture, drapery, and soft goods using housekeeping-grade equipment and approved cleaning solutions
Wash walls, baseboards, doors, and trim using standard cleaning products
Descale and sanitize bathroom fixtures, tile, grout, and shower enclosures
Clean inside drawers, closets, nightstands, and other furniture interiors
Dust and wipe down HVAC vent covers and registers (surface cleaning only)
Strip beds, rotate and flip mattresses, and inspect bedding for cleanliness and condition
Remove and replace linens, terry, and shower curtains for laundering or replacement
Clean light fixtures, lampshades, mirrors, artwork, and decorative items
Move furniture as needed to clean underneath and behind, and return furniture to its proper position
Public area and back-of-house deep cleaning
Deep-clean lobbies, corridors, stairwells, elevators, fitness rooms, and pool-deck areas on a rotating schedule
Clean and organize linen rooms, housekeeping closets, and storage areas
Clean housekeeping carts, equipment, and supply areas
Inspection and reporting
Inspect rooms for damage, wear, missing items, and maintenance issues, and report findings to the Housekeeping Supervisor for follow-up by the appropriate department
Participate in linen, terry, and amenity inventory counts; rotate stock and remove items that fail quality inspection
Occupied-room cleaning as assigned
Service occupied guest rooms to brand standard during the lower-occupancy period when assigned
