Requirements and Skills

  • Proven experience as a Cath Lab Technologist or Cath Lab Tech
  • Comprehensive knowledge of cardiac catheterization procedures and technologies
  • Ability to assist physicians during invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
  • Strong understanding of sterile techniques and safety protocols
  • Ability to operate and troubleshoot complex cardiovascular imaging equipment
  • Excellent patient care and communication skills
  • Certification in Cardiovascular Technology or relevant credential preferred
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain all necessary equipment and supplies for catheterization procedures
  • Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization and related procedures
  • Monitor patients continuously and report any abnormal findings promptly
  • Operate and maintain imaging and monitoring equipment with precision
  • Ensure adherence to infection control and safety standards
  • Document procedures accurately and maintain detailed patient records
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes

Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Cardiovascular Technology or related field preferred
  • Relevant certification such as Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) is a plus
  • Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in a cardiac catheterization lab setting preferred
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Compensation and Benefits
