1. Set tables, carry trays and plates to members, customers and guests.

The duties for the Food Runner position are supportive in nature, designed to assist the primary service staff and kitchen team. We provide the following elaborations:
• Assist in setting up for banquets, special events and/or large parties: Tasks include arranging tables and chairs according to floor plans, laying linens, and pre-setting non-perishable items such as salt/pepper shakers, centerpieces, and folded napkins.
• Assist in other food running/serving activities for members, customers and guests: This involves maintaining the cleanliness of the dining area, transporting clean linens to service stations, and ensuring condiment containers are filled and ready for service.
• Coordinating with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders and assisting in expediting service during high-volume periods: The worker will monitor the "expediter" station to identify completed plates, ensure the correct garnishes are present as directed by the Chef, and promptly carry trays to the designated dining area to maintain food temperature.
• Providing basic guest assistance such as confirming delivery of ordered items or responding to immediate re-service needs (e.g., replacing dropped utensils, offering water refills) under the supervision of waitstaff or banquet captain.): Under the strict supervision of a waiter or banquet captain, the worker may fulfill immediate, non-complex requests such as replacing a dropped fork, refilling water glasses, or informing a server that a guest requires further assistance.
Response to Specific Inquiries
• Order Taking: The Food Runner will not take food or drink orders from guests at any time, whether inside or outside the establishment. All ordering is handled exclusively by waitstaff.
• Duties in Outside/Beach Settings: When performing duties in "outside within the club grounds, including in a beach like setting," the tasks remain identical to indoor service: carrying food trays from the kitchen to outdoor tables, clearing used dishes/trash from the area, and ensuring outdoor service stations are stocked with clean utensils and napkins.
5. Assist in other food running/serving activities for members, customers and guests. Tasks may be performed inside or outside within the club grounds, including in a beach like setting. Including but not limited to:
a. Restocking server stations with silverware, napkins, condiments, and water pitchers during service periods.
b. Delivering bread baskets, pre-set appetizers, or condiments to tables upon direction of waitstaff or kitchen.
c. Coordinating with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders and assisting in expediting service during high-volume periods.
d. Assisting in the polishing and placement of glassware and utensils at active dining tables or banquet setups.
e. Transporting dirty dishes, glassware, and utensils back to designated dishwashing areas during or after service.
f. Providing basic guest assistance such as confirming delivery of ordered items or responding to immediate re-service needs (e.g., replacing dropped utensils, offering water refills) under the supervision of waitstaff or banquet captain.
