Shift Information

• 12-hour day shifts
• Shift hours: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
• Location: Salinas, CA

Requirements and Skills

• Current and valid RN license in the state of California
• Proven experience in Labor & Delivery nursing
• Strong skills in fetal monitoring and maternal assessment
• Ability to provide comprehensive care during labor, delivery, and postpartum phases
• Excellent critical thinking and decision-making abilities under pressure
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for patient and team collaboration
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor the physical and emotional needs of laboring mothers and their babies
• Implement nursing care plans and interventions during labor, delivery, and postpartum
• Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs using specialized equipment
• Assist physicians during deliveries and ensure adherence to safety protocols
• Educate and support patients and families throughout the childbirth process
• Document patient care accurately and comprehensively in medical records
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to provide exceptional patient outcomes
• Respond promptly to emergency situations and provide life-saving interventions when necessary

Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in California
• Experience working in Labor & Delivery nursing
• Certifications in BLS and NRP highly desirable
• Strong clinical skills with the ability to manage high-acuity patients
• Compassionate, patient-focused approach to maternity care
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Pay Rate: $75.00 - $89.00 per hour
