Shift and Schedule

• Shift: Hours to be determined based on unit needs
• Schedule: Full-time, with flexibility to support 24/7 ICU coverage

Requirements and Skills

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Wisconsin
• Proven experience in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) or Surgical ICU (SICU) setting
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities
• Ability to operate and interpret advanced medical equipment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to provide compassionate patient- and family-centered care
• Adaptability and resilience in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive critical care to adult patients in the Surgical ICU, including monitoring, administering medications, and managing life-support equipment
• Perform thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Respond promptly to emergency situations and implement appropriate interventions
• Document patient information accurately and maintain compliance with regulatory standards
• Educate patients and families on health status, treatment plans, and post-ICU care

Qualifications

• Current and valid RN licensure in Wisconsin
• ICU/SICU clinical experience preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required
• Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a team-oriented environment

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive hourly rate: $63.00 – $74.00
