Requirements and Skills

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license applicable for practice in South Dakota
• Proven experience in Emergency Room (ER) and/or Medical-Surgical nursing environments
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Proficiency in electronic medical records and documentation
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and evaluate patient conditions, responding promptly to changes and emergencies
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, documenting accurately and timely
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
• Educate patients and families on health conditions, discharge instructions, and ongoing care
• Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for patients and staff
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education to maintain clinical competencies

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Experience in ER and/or Med Surg nursing preferred
