Requirements and Skills

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Wisconsin
• Proven experience in Obstetrics and Labor & Delivery nursing
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to provide compassionate care to patients and families during labor and delivery
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum phases
• Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs to identify any complications early
• Collaborate closely with physicians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe delivery outcomes
• Educate and support patients and their families through the childbirth process
• Document all patient care activities accurately and promptly in the medical records
• Respond effectively to obstetric emergencies with calm and proficient interventions
• Ensure adherence to established protocols and safety standards within the unit

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Wisconsin
• Experience working in Labor & Delivery or Obstetrics nursing preferred
• Certifications in BLS and NRP required
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Commitment to providing empathetic and patient-centered care
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

Compensation and Benefits

Hourly Rate: $66.00 - $79.00
