Requirements and Skills

  • Proven experience as a Cath Lab Technologist with comprehensive knowledge of cardiac catheterization procedures
  • Proficiency in operating and maintaining catheterization lab equipment and imaging technology
  • Excellent patient care and communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure and emergency situations
  • Strong understanding of sterile techniques and safety protocols

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist cardiologists during cardiac catheterization and related diagnostic and interventional procedures
  • Prepare and maintain catheterization lab equipment and supplies to ensure optimal functioning
  • Monitor patient vital signs and response throughout procedures
  • Perform quality control measures on imaging equipment and supplies
  • Maintain sterile fields and adhere to infection control policies
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide superior patient care before, during, and after procedures
  • Accurately document patient information, procedural details, and outcomes
  • Participate in continuous professional development and training as required

Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology program or equivalent
  • Current certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or equivalent preferred
  • Valid CPR certification
  • Strong clinical judgment and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to upholding patient confidentiality and safety standards

Compensation: Hourly rate ranging from $75.00 to $89.00
