Requirements and Skills

• Current certification as an Interventional Radiology Technologist (ARRT-IR preferred)
• Proven experience operating fluoroscopic equipment and other IR imaging technologies
• Strong knowledge of vascular and non-vascular interventional procedures
• Ability to prepare patients for procedures and maintain sterile environments
• Proficient in monitoring patient vital signs and assisting with contrast administration
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to coordinate effectively with physicians and nursing staff
• Commitment to safety protocols and quality assurance in an IR setting

Key Responsibilities

• Operate interventional radiology imaging equipment to capture detailed diagnostic images
• Assist physicians during minimally invasive vascular and non-vascular procedures
• Prepare, maintain, and troubleshoot imaging equipment to ensure optimal functionality
• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout all procedures
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate patient and procedure documentation
• Adhere strictly to infection control practices and radiation safety standards
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide seamless patient care
• Participate in continuing education to stay current with advancements in IR technology and techniques

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited radiologic technology program
• Current ARRT certification in Radiography and Interventional Radiology (or equivalent credentials)
• Licensure as required by the state of Wisconsin
• Minimum of 1-2 years clinical experience in interventional radiology preferred
• Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
