Requirements and Skills

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Wisconsin
• Experience or strong interest in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Mother-Baby nursing
• Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to provide empathetic and patient-centered care
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Capacity to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers, postpartum patients, and newborns
• Monitor maternal and fetal well-being during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods
• Assist with labor and delivery procedures, including supporting physicians and other healthcare professionals
• Educate patients and families on postpartum care, newborn care, and breastfeeding support
• Accurately document patient care and maintain detailed medical records
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Adhere to hospital policies, healthcare regulations, and safety protocols

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Wisconsin is mandatory
• Previous experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, or Mother-Baby nursing preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications are highly desirable
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
