Shift & Schedule

Flexible inpatient dietitian shifts available. Specific unit/department assignments will be communicated upon placement. Hours will align with inpatient care needs to ensure optimal nutritional support for patients.

Requirements & Skills

• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential required
• Current state licensure or eligibility to practice dietetics in Minnesota
• Experience in inpatient clinical nutrition assessment and intervention
• Strong knowledge of medical nutrition therapy and therapeutic diets
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and documentation standards
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic hospital environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for inpatient clients
• Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans for medical and surgical patients
• Provide education and counseling to patients and their families regarding dietary needs and modifications
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of nutrition services in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to nutrition services

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred
• Active Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential from the Commission on Dietetic Registration
• Current state licensure to practice as a dietitian in Minnesota or eligibility to obtain licensure
• Experience working in an inpatient healthcare setting strongly preferred
• Strong clinical nutrition knowledge and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a diverse healthcare team
• Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations

Compensation: Competitive hourly rate of $57.00 - $67.00
