Requirements & Skills

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Minnesota
• Proven clinical experience in Obstetrics and Labor & Delivery (OB/L&D)
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills relevant to maternal and newborn care
• Ability to manage high-acuity patients and respond promptly to emergencies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• Commitment to patient safety and quality care standards

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods
• Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs, recognizing and responding to changes or complications
• Assist with deliveries, including normal and emergency situations
• Collaborate closely with obstetricians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
• Educate and support patients and their families regarding prenatal, labor and delivery, and postpartum health
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with protocols and regulations
• Adhere to infection control, safety procedures, and organizational policies at all times

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse licensure in Minnesota
• Experience specifically in Labor & Delivery or Obstetrical nursing preferred
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification preferred
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Empathy and dedication to patient-centered care

Compensation

Competitive hourly rate: $78.00 - $92.00
