Requirements & Skills

• Valid and current Occupational Therapist license as required by the state of Wisconsin
• Expertise in assessing, developing, and implementing inpatient OT treatment plans
• Demonstrated ability to provide therapeutic interventions to improve patients’ functional abilities
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Experience with documentation and compliance with regulatory standards
• Commitment to evidence-based practice and patient-centered care

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive evaluations and assessments of patients’ physical, cognitive, and psychosocial needs
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and patient goals
• Provide hands-on therapy and instruction to patients and caregivers to enhance independence in daily living activities
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with professional and legal standards
• Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with inpatient OT best practices
• Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for patients at all times

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Current Wisconsin Occupational Therapist licensure
• Previous inpatient OT experience preferred but not required
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
