Shift & Schedule

• Variable Day Shift
• 36-hour weekly guarantee

Requirements & Skills

• Current and valid RN licensure appropriate for Nebraska
• Experience in Operating Room nursing preferred
• Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing principles and practices
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
• Adherence to aseptic technique and patient safety protocols

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures
• Prepare and maintain the operating room environment, ensuring all instruments and equipment are sterile and functioning
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver safe and effective care
• Monitor patient condition before, during, and after surgery, responding promptly to any changes
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of nursing assessments and interventions
• Educate patients and their families regarding perioperative care and postoperative instructions
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and infection control guidelines

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska
• Completion of accredited nursing program (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred)
• Previous OR nursing experience highly desirable
• BLS certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and maintain patient-centered care

Compensation & Benefits

Hourly Rate: $64.00 - $76.00
