Requirements & Skills

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Proven experience in a Cath Lab setting or relevant cardiovascular nursing environment
• Strong knowledge of cardiac catheterization procedures, hemodynamic monitoring, and sterile technique
• Ability to respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient and team collaboration
• Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and critical thinking abilities
• Current BLS and ACLS certification

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care before, during, and after cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures
• Monitor patients’ hemodynamic status, vital signs, and overall condition throughout procedures
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, technologists, and other clinical staff to ensure optimal patient care
• Maintain sterile technique and ensure proper preparation and functioning of Cath Lab equipment
• Educate patients and their families regarding procedures, recovery, and ongoing care plans
• Document patient care activities accurately and timely according to hospital and regulatory standards
• Respond promptly to any adverse events or emergencies to safeguard patient wellbeing
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain knowledge of best practices in cardiovascular nursing

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Experience in Cath Lab nursing or cardiovascular critical care preferred
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to thrive in a procedural environment
• Commitment to patient-centered care and professional development
