Shift and Schedule

• Position: ICU RN, 2E SICU Unit
• Schedule: Full-time shifts (specific days and hours to be discussed)
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts or weekends as needed

Requirements and Skills

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Wisconsin
• Experience in critical care nursing, specifically in an ICU or Surgical ICU (SICU) setting
• Proficiency in patient assessment, monitoring, and intervention for critically ill patients
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to respond quickly to emergency situations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to manage complex medical equipment and technology commonly used in ICU care
• Commitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate patient care

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU)
• Monitor and assess patients' conditions, including vital signs and response to treatments
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatments, and recovery processes
• Maintain accurate and thorough patient documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and uphold infection control standards

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in Wisconsin
• Proven ICU or SICU nursing experience
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification preferred
• Strong critical thinking and clinical decision-making skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

Compensation: Hourly rate ranging from $63.00 to $74.00, with weekly pay.
