Requirements & Skills

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Nebraska
• Proven experience working in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) or critical care environment
• Strong knowledge of ICU protocols, patient monitoring, and life support systems
• Ability to perform complex assessments and implement appropriate nursing interventions
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
• Capable of handling high-stress situations with professionalism and empathy

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients according to established standards and protocols
• Monitor patient vital signs, conduct ongoing assessments, and respond promptly to changes in condition
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Operate and maintain life-support and monitoring equipment
• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in medical records
• Educate patients and families on conditions, procedures, and care plans as appropriate
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment adhering to infection control and safety standards

Qualifications

• Valid RN licensure in Nebraska
• Completion of accredited nursing program (Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred)
• ICU nursing experience or critical care training strongly preferred
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
• Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

Compensation & Benefits
