Shift and Schedule

• Unit/Department: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
• Shift: Full-time, with flexible scheduling options available to meet unit needs
• Hours: Typically 12-hour shifts, including day and night rotations

Requirements & Skills

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska
• Proven experience working in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) or critical care setting
• Strong clinical assessment and monitoring abilities for critically ill patients
• Proficiency in managing ventilators, hemodynamic monitoring, and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS)
• Excellent communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration and patient-family interactions
• Ability to respond promptly and effectively to rapidly changing patient conditions
• Competent in electronic health records (EHR) documentation and data management

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU, ensuring safety and comfort
• Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and operate specialized monitoring equipment
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Respond swiftly to medical emergencies, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation and other life-saving interventions
• Educate patients and their families regarding disease processes, treatment plans, and post-discharge care
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and document all nursing interventions thoroughly
• Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and quality care

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred)
• Current Nebraska RN license in good standing
• Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification is a plus but not required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
• Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills in high-pressure environments

Compensation and Benefits

Pay Rate: $61.00 - $72.00 per hour
