Required Skills and Requirements

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Proven experience in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) or critical care environment
• Strong knowledge of critical care nursing principles and protocols
• Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments and deliver high-quality nursing care
• Proficiency in using ICU-specific equipment and technology
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for interdisciplinary team environments
• Capability to respond effectively in high-pressure, fast-paced clinical settings

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU, continuously monitoring and assessing patient status
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies following physician orders and established protocols
• Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and adjust patient care plans
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting care and changes in condition promptly
• Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies and changes in patient conditions, implementing appropriate interventions
• Educate patients and their families on conditions, treatments, and discharge planning as appropriate
• Ensure compliance with infection control, patient safety, and regulatory standards

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Nebraska
• Minimum of 1-2 years ICU or critical care nursing experience preferred
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent degree is highly desirable
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Compassionate, detail-oriented, and patient-focused approach

Hourly Rate: $63.00 - $74.00
