Shift & Schedule

Flexible shifts available in the Labor & Delivery unit to meet the needs of the department. Specific hours will be discussed with your dedicated Quick2Hire recruiter to best match your availability and preferences.

Requirements & Skills

• Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska
• Experience working in Labor & Delivery or Obstetrics nursing
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills in maternal and fetal care
• Ability to provide compassionate, patient-focused care throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum stages
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with healthcare teams and support patients and their families
• Knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• CPR and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification preferred
• Ability to respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring women, including monitoring fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs
• Assist with delivery and support the birthing process in collaboration with physicians and midwives
• Educate and support patients and their families on prenatal, labor, delivery, and postpartum care
• Administer medications and interventions as prescribed and monitor patients for potential complications
• Document patient care accurately and timely in the medical record system
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and safety
• Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment in the Labor & Delivery unit

Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in Nebraska
• Previous Labor & Delivery nursing experience preferred
• CPR and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications preferred
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment
• Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to compassionate patient care
