Requirements & Skills

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Experience in Labor & Delivery nursing
• Strong assessment and clinical skills related to maternal and neonatal care
• Ability to provide compassionate care in a fast-paced environment
• Effective communication skills with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Knowledge of safety, infection control, and compliance standards
• Demonstrated ability to respond quickly in emergency situations

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods
• Monitor maternal and fetal health, interpreting medical data and responding appropriately
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Educate and support patients and their families throughout the childbirth process
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting care provided
• Assist in emergency interventions as needed, maintaining composure under pressure
• Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, standards, and regulatory requirements related to labor and delivery

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in good standing
• Previous L&D nursing experience preferred but not always required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications highly valued
• Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team

Compensation: Hourly rate ranging from $72.00 to $85.00
