Requirements & Skills

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Nebraska
• Proven experience in Labor and Delivery nursing
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills in maternal and fetal care
• Ability to provide compassionate care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and postpartum
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Knowledge of labor induction, fetal monitoring, pain management, and emergency procedures
• Commitment to adhering to healthcare regulations and hospital policies

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum stages
• Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs and respond promptly to changes in condition
• Assist physicians and midwives during deliveries and related medical procedures
• Educate patients and families regarding labor, delivery processes, and postpartum care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information and interventions
• Ensure a safe and supportive environment for patients and newborns
• Respond effectively to obstetric emergencies and provide critical care when necessary
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans

Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Nebraska
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing preferred
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Preferred certifications: ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Empathy, professionalism, and commitment to patient-centered care

Compensation
