Requirements & Skills

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Proven experience in Medical-Surgical nursing and General Care Unit (GCU) settings
• Strong clinical skills with the ability to manage multiple patient needs effectively
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to comply with hospital policies and protocols

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients in Med Surg GCU
• Monitor patient conditions and report changes to appropriate healthcare team members
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care
• Educate patients and their families regarding health maintenance and disease prevention
• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in patient medical records

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Nebraska
• Minimum of 1 year experience in Med Surg or similar acute care environment preferred
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous professional development
